Product recall for wooden toy presenting a medium risk of choking.

Product: 3 In 1 Wooden Magnetic Fishing Board Games Montessori Toys for Kids

Hazard: The product presents a medium risk of choking due to easily detachable small parts and the magnetic flux for the magnets being greater than a maximum permitted limit.

Corrective action: Recall of the product from end users. Removal of product listing by the online marketplace.

The product poses a risk of choking as when tested according to the tension test, the magnet of the fishing rod detached at a force of 80N and fits entirely within the small parts cylinder. The magnetic flux index for the magnets is 70.58 kG2mm2, which is greater than the maximum permitted of 50kG2mm2. If two or more magnets were swallowed, there is a risk that the magnets become drawn to each other in the digestive system, which could cause serious injury or death if medical attention is not sought immediately.

The product does not meet the requirements of the Toys (Safety) Regulations 2011.

The product has been recalled from end users.

The listing has been removed by the online marketplace (Amazon).
